Memorycoin 2.0 was released a few months ago, it is now the most profitable CPU only coin to mine. GPU mining has become more troublesome as AMD cards' prices soared because of demand. If you have a decent AMD, you can still profit from altcoins, but it is harder to do nowdays.
Depending on your CPU, you will mine around $2-5 a day. Of course this number will fluctuate as difficulty and market changes along the way. There's no question that memorycoin is the crypto to CPU mine right

First get your wallet with miner built in and run the QT wallet and let it sync with the network. After you are caught up, choose “Mining -> Launch Pool Miner”.
If you did everything right you'll be mining right away. The coins will be deposited to your QT wallet automatically. Sit back and enjoy.
